Gemini is a U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange and custodian founded in 2014 by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. Regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services, it offers a secure platform for buying, selling, and storing crypto. Once you finish trading, it's crucial to move your crypto to a self-custodial wallet. If an exchange becomes inaccessible or shuts down, you'll lose access to your assets, as experienced by FTX users. This article explores the importance of self-custody. MEW Mobile makes transferring your crypto from Gemini straightforward.

Follow this guide to move your crypto off of Gemini and into your MEW Mobile self-custodial wallet.
